Halloween

Mark and I had plans to go out on the town All Hallows Eve weekend. In addition to being a bit sloppy on the home front I adore dressing up. Any chance to wear sparkles and fake eyelashes in public count me in!

Dan and I had actually met at a Halloween party last year. My back home boyfriend and I were on the rocks after not too much time of doing long distance (with bimonthly trips to see each other). I was ready to go out, have fun, and forget about our ridiculous back and forth about how much time could or could not presently be devoted to our relationship.

All decked out in my Rey costume (yes I like Star Wars) I headed out to meet Mark in Georgetown. Old Glory BBQ was alive with college students all in a bigger mood than me to drink and be merry. The ear pounding music was just the noise level I needed to forget about everything but stomping my feet to the rhythmic beat.

Mark came as a devil. The polar opposite of his personality. We squeezed our way to the bar. I have the advantage of being short and therefore able to worm my way through tight spaces easily. As I paved the way Mark, could follow in my wake to the bartender. With our whiskey cokes in hand we pushed our way to the dance floor where we stayed for what seemed like hours.
